Elon Musk ragequits livestream after constantly dying while trying to prove he’s good at POE2

Elon Musk’s recent livestream attempt to showcase his gaming prowess took an unexpected turn, casting doubt on his previously stated accomplishments. The tech mogul, who had earlier claimed to have completed Path of Exile 2 on its Hardcore mode—a setting where characters are permanently lost upon death—failed to live up to the hype during a public demonstration.

The livestream, reportedly broadcast from one of Musk’s private aircraft, featured him playing the highly challenging action RPG. However, the session lasted just 30 minutes before Musk exited the game abruptly after being defeated by the tutorial boss—a surprising outcome considering his earlier assertions of mastering the game’s most punishing difficulty.

Complicating matters, Musk became the target of intense criticism via the game’s chat feature. Several players used the opportunity to direct personal attacks at him, referencing both his public and private life. The stream took an even more personal turn when Musk played a track by musician Grimes, his former partner, in an apparent attempt to drown out the online harassment.

Despite suggestions from viewers to activate the game’s “Do Not Disturb” setting, Musk chose not to use it. Instead, he ended the broadcast prematurely, drawing further attention to the inconsistency between his earlier claims and his on-stream performance.

The incident has sparked renewed skepticism about the billionaire’s public statements, particularly when they concern personal achievements outside his professional ventures.
